Elizabeth-Louise;
For the record….
I’m Agnostic. I am as confused about religion as Clay Aiken was a few years ago regarding his sexuality.Girl, please. I can tell you right now Clay Aiken was never confused about a damn thing. That boy came out of the womb farting glitter.
Oh Kia..you slay me.
I nearly peed my pants laughing reading this.
This sums up exactly how I feel today.
1. Use the time of a total stranger in such a way that he or she will not feel the time was wasted.
2. Give the reader at least one character he or she can root for.
3. Every character should want something, even if it is only a glass of water.
4. Every sentence must do one of two things — reveal character or advance the action.
5. Start as close to the end as possible.
6. Be a sadist. Now matter how sweet and innocent your leading characters, make awful things happen to them — in order that the reader may see what they are made of.
7. Write to please just one person. If you open a window and make love to the world, so to speak, your story will get pneumonia.
8. Give your readers as much information as possible as soon as possible. To heck with suspense. Readers should have such complete understanding of what is going on, where and why, that they could finish the story themselves, should cockroaches eat the last few pages.
Kurt Vonnegut, Bagombo Snuff Box: Uncollected Short Fiction (New York: G.P. Putnam’s Sons 1999), 9-10. (via ariah) (via davidmaddox) (via havent-got-a-prayer)So you wanna be my friend, so you wanna be my lover? With you, I do confess I can’t be one without the other. That was hard for me to say, I hope I said it right.
Top left: Najaf Sultana, 16. at the age of 5 was burned by her father while she was sleeping, apparently because he didn’t want to have another girl in the family. as a result of the burning najaf became blind and after being abandoned by both her parents she now lives with relatives. she has undergone plastic surgery around 15 times to try to recover from her scars.
Top right: Kanwal Kayum, 26. she was burned with acid 1 year ago by a boy whom she rejected for marriage. she has never undergone plastic surgery.
Bottom left: Zainab Bibi, 17. she was burned on her face with acid thrown by a boy whom she rejected for marriage 5 years ago. she has undergone plastic surgery several times to try to recover from her scars.

So yes, don’t complain just because you have a small pimple on your face. There are people out there who have a larger problem than yours.
